Each upazila hospital is being upgraded to 101 beds
The government has started the work of upgrading every upazila hospital in the country to 101 beds to bring healthcare to the doorsteps of the common people, said Md. Ismail Zabiullah, Advisor to the Ministry of Public Administration.
He said the government also has plans to ensure specialized healthcare for government officials and employees at the departmental level and digitalize all hospital activities.
He made these remarks while speaking as the chief guest at the inauguration of a free special surgery program for children with cleft lips and palates at the Government Employees Hospital in the capital on Saturday (July 18).
